Warranty Coverage
DC Clear Guard Paint Protection Film (PPF) is backed by a 5-year warranty against:
- Yellowing
- Cracking
- Peeling
- Staining
- Delamination
Coverage Schedule:
- Year 1–2: Full warranty for confirmed film manufacturing defects.
- Year 3: 70% material coverage.
- Year 4: 40% material coverage.
- Year 5: 20% material coverage.
- Note: Labour, removal, and reinstallation charges apply after the first two years.
Terms & Conditions
- Warranty is valid only if the film is installed by an authorized Detailcity (Detail City Car Studio) installer.
- Warranty applies exclusively to the original owner and original vehicle (non-transferable).
- Customers must register their installation on the Detail City Car Studio website within 30 days of installation to activate coverage.
- Customer must return for regular PPF maintenance/inspection at least once every 6–12 months.
- The film must be cared for and maintained following Detail City Car Studio’s official care guidelines.
Warranty Claim Process
- Customers must provide proof of purchase along with valid warranty registration.
- Claims must be submitted through the Detail City Car Studio website or in person at an authorized location.
- Every claim must be inspected and approved by Detailcity.
- If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, the affected area will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of Detail City Car Studio.
Exclusions (What Is Not Covered)
- Improper installation, repairs, or removal performed by an unauthorized third-party workshop.
- Stone chips, scratches, abrasions, accidents, collisions, or intentional physical damage.
- Environmental damage including acid rain, tree sap, bird droppings, and industrial fallout.
- Damage caused by strong chemicals, aggressive polishing compounds, or improper washing techniques.
- High-pressure washer damage or excessive heat exposure.
- Neglect, poor maintenance, or prolonged severe outdoor exposure.
- Normal ageing, slight colour shift, and regular wear and tear over time.
